Felt pretty good about my bio paper today, although I totally stunned at the prokaryotes vs. eukaryotes question. Managed to remember pieces of information here and there, hope that'll be able to earn me at least 4 marks for that question. Couldn't describe how happy I was when the invigilator said "PENS DOWN" wheeee! yes yes, it's only the first of the several common tests that I'm going to sit for at RJ, but I somehow I knew that I didn't do as well as I wanted to for this CTs. Really expected more of myself. I can probably put the blame on my lack of time to prepare for the tests, the inconsistency in doing my tutorials plus
occasional nap time during lectures No more of that in TERM 3. It's going to be a brand new semester and I'm rather surprised that I'm so hyped up over mugging for promos. I MUST do well for promos. I just HAVE TO.
But right now, I have to focus my attention on Canoeing. Nationals coming up in just mere 11 days. 264 more hours to THE DAY that we've been training so hard for. As we sat around in a circle after water training today (yes, that's how I celebrate my end of CTs) we spoke about how far we've come as a team. For the seniors, it has been almost 1.5 years since they chose to join this CCA, to be part of the team. And look at where they stand now... Full of drive and passion for the sport and going out there facing off with their opponents to bring glory to the school and to row for their teammates that they love so dearly. It has always been so inspiring just sitting around with the J2s, listening to what they want to achieve and just feeling the strong vibes reverberating off them. In 11 days, we fight for the Gold with other JCs who have trained as hard as us, aiming to win what we, too, are eyeing....
This is it. Just a few more trainings left to Nationals. The remaining sessions may not turn out as good as we hope for it to be, but (muddy's words) it's not what you manage to do during these last few sessions, but the accumulation of all the effort that you've put into this race for the past year or so. We have nothing to lose, just go into this, knowing that you're going to put your best foot forward. Everyone's watching you, your opponents, your friends, your classmates and most importantly, your teammates who have been supporting you thus far.
K4 "babes": toot, soo and michelle. When we row on the 10th of July, we row with the confidence that we can conquer anything that comes our way. We've trained together for so long, now, it comes down to this. Jiaolian may not expect much from us, but don't let his words get to you, WE CAN DO THIS. He'll be treating us to a Shangrila buffet lunch huh (: (: ohyea... Don't think that I've mentioned this to you girls before.. but there's 1 more person in this boat with us and that's GOD. Take heart to know that he's always with us, in every stroke, in very kick and God-bless my ruddering. Strength and stability comes from Him alone. Believe in that and we will fly
alright! I shall have an early night today, suffering from sleep deprivation >_<" grahhh. Will be looking forward to training in the morning and TEAM OUTING with the girls in the afternoon! We're going to make Seoul Garden lose $$ hahaa! LOVE <3
I just had to post this up Never let your head hang down. Never give up and sit down and grieve. -- Satchel Paige
